# Welcome to MeetingWorks

MeetingWorks connects meeting planners with the hotels and venues that fit their event. A planner describes the event in plain language, a person checks the brief, and only qualified requests reach the venues that can actually host them. There is no directory to browse and no mass RFP blast to send.

## Who it is for

MeetingWorks serves two kinds of customer, and each works in their own space.

#### [Planners](/planners/overview)

Brief the event and decide between good options. Briefing, comparing
proposals, and booking are free.

#### [Suppliers](/suppliers/overview)

Hotels and the venues around an event, such as restaurants, activities, and
production partners, receive only requests that match what they offer and
respond where the conversation already lives.

> **Note**
>
> The two sides meet at one thing: a checked brief. A person reviews every
> request before it reaches a venue, so planners spend time only on venues that
> can host, and venues spend time only on real, qualified business.

## What you can do

#### Get a ranked shortlist

Describe an event and get a ranked shortlist of venues that fit it.

#### Compare proposals

Compare proposals side by side in dollars, then award the one you choose.

#### Respond to leads

Quote rooms and meeting space, and track each lead to a decision.

#### One shared record

Keep every brief, reply, and proposal on one shared record per event.
